Lucknow: Preparations are in full swing in Lucknow for the first T20 match between India and West Indies, scheduled to be held at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on October 6. The official ticket launch ceremony took place on Saturday, with the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) finalizing all arrangements.
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, UPCA Secretary Prem Manohar Gupta shared that necessary preparations are being carried out at a rapid pace. He announced that ticket prices start at a minimum of ₹399, while the most expensive tickets for the South Lounge (Blocks A and B) are priced at ₹13,500.
UPCA Treasurer Sachin Anand Shukla confirmed that online ticket sales have officially commenced on Saturday evening. Fans can purchase their tickets through the District app (by Zomato). He expressed confidence that the event will witness massive turnout given the widespread enthusiasm among local cricket enthusiasts.
UPCA Media Committee Chairman Mohammad Faheem reaffirmed the association’s commitment to hosting another successful international fixture, adding that Lucknow will continue to be a premier host for future international matches.
Echoing these sentiments, MD and CMD of Ekana Sportz City Uday Sinha assured that stadium upgrades and arrangements are proceeding swiftly, with a primary focus on delivering a top-notch spectator experience.
